I am Sifu Lance Brazil SFG, and 4th degree rank under Dashi Steven Baugh ( Dashi Chuan Sheng ). I am a Actor/Stunt performer out of Las Vegas and help operate the Las Vegas stunt team " The Arhat Orphan Brotherhood ". Our stunt team is known for some of the greatest action pieces to come out of Las Vegas. I practice and teach Northern Shaolin ( Bak Sil Lum ), Tai Chi Praying mantis, and a Kettlebell specialist. What inspired you to become a stunt performer?
The creative aspect to it, it's a great outlet to combine your martial arts and experiment with techniques.
What is your greatest skill as a stunt performer, is there a stunt behind it?
My greatest skill, is fight choreography/coordinating. creating a safe environment for training and teaching.
What is the best part about being a stunt performer?
the best part is just being able to be creative and work with like-minded individuals
Tell your all-time favorite stunt story!
My first good gig was Nightwing the series on YouTube. It was a exhausting experience while working my fulltime job. I would go to my job, then be on set for 12-14 hours some days and then have to turn around and clock right back into my job. It was worth it! you can sleep when you die.
What advice would you give other stunt performers?
" You want to be a Lion, then train with Lions " find a group of Like-minded and trained individuals. Also be serious about it, don't just decide you want to become a stuntman one day and expect you will get somewhere. Especially in fight choreography, definitely become an established martial artist and train in the art. There is no real time, just become good at it.
Anything else you'd like to tell the community about?
"Empty your cup" you don't know everything and become a sponge and surround yourself with good people
