What inspired you to become a stunt performer?

Honestly it was the lack of work as an actor that got me into stunts. With my prior training in martial arts and my ability to pick things up quickly. I fell in love with stunts just as much as acting. Stunts is the same as acting just with the expressiveness of one’s body like a dancer. You have to be able to sell your movements and create new choreography. An amazing and fun way of expressing your art.

What is your greatest skill as a stunt performer, is there a stunt behind it?

My greatest skill set is being a professional. Being able to take direction well, apply it quickly and effectively. Fight choreography would be my strongest stunt skill. 😁

What is the best part about being a stunt performer?

The work always changes and you can always learn something new. One day you could be doing falls the entire day. The next day is fight choreography. The following day are specialties where you need to rig.

Tell your all-time favorite stunt story!

Being chased down by the cops while shooting out of a vehicle with a hand gun. I was working on the tv show Deputy. My driver was weaving in and out of traffic, we had the streets closed down, and I was supposed to keep my upper body out of the window to shoot at the cops chasing us. Sounds a lot more dangerous than what it really was. I had a blast shooting that day. Lol.

What advice would you give other stunt performers?

Stay healthy, keep learning new skills while improving them, consistently sharpening your skill that you are good at, stay humble and grateful. Treat everyone with love, kindness, and respect. This will make you feel better about yourself and you leave a lasting impression on whomever you meet. Make sure you have other sources of income. Staying consistent in any field of the entertainment industry is difficult let alone being in front of the camera. So make sure you take care of your self and your family first. The industry will always be here.

Anything else you'd like to tell the community about?

Currently residing in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but can and will travel depending on the job. I’m involved in many different aspects of the film industry and would love to keep growing in many different fields from writing, directing, and producing. Please go support a feature film I’m working on getting produced called Pot-Fu: The 1st martial arts/stoner film! Merchandise NFT’s available now!
