Musical theatre and drama major that started out in live theatre and outdoor shows before moving into film.
What inspired you to become a stunt performer?
During stage combat training, I got to work with a few stunt performers and coordinators that I loved hearing their stories and the things that they did. I talked with them about wanting to be a stunt performer and they gave me some advice and offered some fighting for film courses to help me develop my basic skills.
What is your greatest skill as a stunt performer, is there a stunt behind it?
Being able to convey the story of the characters through physical action. Allowing the continuation of the narrative to be the driven force of the action rather than action inserted into a narrative.
What is the best part about being a stunt performer?
Getting to meet incredibly talented humans that push your limits and have the same passion for artistic creation as you.
What advice would you give other stunt performers?
Do what you enjoy and feel comfortable with. Build upon that to make it all a second nature that allows you to freely immerse yourself safely into roles and characters.
